Its funny how quickly the weather changes … just 6 days ago I was complaining about how HOT it was during the Steamtown marathon, and then this morning, I get out for a 14 miler, and WOW, was it cold. It was 36 when I passed the bank, so I guess its a reminder that it really is the fall time.
I did pretty good on the run, although I did cut it short a bit due to my quads starting to get sore. I didn’t want to stress them too bad since i’m still only a few days from the last marathon. I figured I have 2 weeks to get myself ready for Harrisburg, so why stress it now… regardless, I got over 12.5 miles in (skipped the hill on Ryman Road), and overall it felt good.
I’m starting to get myself in the mind-set for the next marathon and for the Diamond Run on Thanksgiving … its more difficult to stay motivated for running when its so cold out. It was painfully brutal to get out this morning at 5am … worst part was just getting out of bed! Oh well, there isn’t too much longer to go until we can get back into the gym after the running season is over …
Regardless, no major update, just truckin’ through more miles .. about 4 weeks to go until Harrisburg, again, it’ll be here before we know it!
