So I uploaded my current training schedule to the website for anyone interested in seeing it. Its kind of broken up and not quite as consistent as usual because of some of the different things going on during July, but i’m really in the hardcore training now so remaining consistent is important.

I did another 10 minutes of jumping rope again today … I found that my mid-section (abs) are real sore from doing it Monday, so it must be a core strengthening tool. I think I can help my core and my running if I keep up on it, but its amazing how much of a workout I got from just 10 constant minutes of doing it, its weird.

So tomorrow i’ll get out early for a speed workout before the track gets too busy I hope .. then off to a day of rest on Friday. The weekend is supposed to be cooler, so we’ll try to get the 22 miler in on Saturday if possible without dying of the heat .. usually August is the worst month, so I won’t complain. I’ve found that I’m running alot better in the past couple weeks compared to the end of June/early July, for awhile there I was concerned that my times were slipping and if you read back in the blog a bit, you’ll see my motivation for running was gone ..

I took another look now at the elevation map for Lehigh Valley posted here and don’t feel I’ll have problems since its fairly flat. Don’t forget that if you have to make ANY donations this year (for tax purposes), donate to VIA since it helps people with disabilities (like my daughter)..

Off to rest, tomorrow I’ll post about nutrition if I get time .. if not, Friday is another day …
