So I wrapped up the week with a decent 10 miler down in Edwardsville .. it was cold again (well again, not the air temperature, the wind chill was). My legs are pretty much smoked, and by the time I got back to the car, I was pretty wiped out .. It really feels like its time for a stepback week as I call it. My concept of a stepback week during training consists of cutting the miles back slightly but keeping the intensity up .. I just came off a 56 mile week, and intend to do around 40-44 this week, but again at a good intensity. I also have the 10 mile race next weekend, which will wrap up the stepback week for me and then we head into 4 more hard weeks until we taper for the New Jersey Marathon on the first weekend of May ..
