I’m gearing up for one of the final easy 3 milers prior to the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend, and wanted to share some information. Its cool that they have real time runner tracking, which I intend to leave the details for my family so they can track me on Sunday from home.. here is the link to do that, although you’ll need my name in order to track me, those of you who know me can do that, others can email me at jokach[at]gmail[dot]com to get my info if you’re interested…
Seems that photos for the race are being done by MarathonFoto, hopefully they turn out pretty good ..
The weather for the weekend in DC looks like it is going to be a great race day, we’re talking start temps near 50 or so, which like Steamtown, means the temps will be in the 50’s for most of the race, thats PERFECT! Temperatures for the day should be in the mid to upper 60’s, so its going to be an awesome day…
So right now i’m just planning the logistics of getting to the hotel, understanding where the shuttle will be to get to the race and all. The Expo will be a huge one from what I see since its being held at basically a stadium, it should be wild…
Anyway, i’m getting kind of excited now since things have settled the way they have, i’m still not expecting a great time in the race, and i’ll probably shoot for what I did at Steamtown or better, the goal is really just to finish. I know I won’t PR in this race (especially since there are so many people, it’ll be hard to get started)..
I’ll probably post again before the race since there isn’t too much more to write about .. just the anticipation of the race I guess..
