I decided to try something a little different today outside of ‘just’ running … jumping rope. I did it for just under 10 minutes, and WOW, did it kick my butt. I didn’t want to go too long because I don’t know what the effects might be on my legs and I don’t want to hurt my training goals. We’ll see how we feel tomorrow ..

I read in this article about how jumping rope for just 10 minutes can burn as many calories as jogging for 30 minutes .. hmm, interesting. I think i’ll try to get 10 minutes in each day and then add to it as I can (or at least do it on the days that I’m not running mega-miles). I also thought about adding the mid-section work in (crunches and all) back to the regimen, just for something additional since i’m in hardcore training time… just under 5 weeks to go if you don’t recall .. 🙂

I was surprised this morning that i’m still at 191, despite the fact my weight fluctuated the way it did last week. I’m just so hungry, I have to eat better, but well, I guess I can only do so much (I did enjoy blueberry pancakes the other morning, yum!)
