Greetings from Steamtown!

Just wanted to thank all of you “early birds” for signing up for our October 8 race. We already have 170 entrants from 17 states, Canada and Washington D.C. Our race committee is hard at work and we are confident we will create a safe and positive experience for all of you.

The first communication from the Steamtown race has come through, it actually kind of pysched me up a little to know that i’m involved in it … cool.

I’m still recovering slightly, my back is a bit sore after my run today, I think I overstretched a little bit, that usually does it. I did like 5 1/4 miles today. I decided to do 20 weeks of training instead of 18 weeks, just to give me the extra edge, so I plan to take it easy the next 2 weeks as far as running concerned …. Its great to hear people still congratulating me on my half-marathon finish, I guess some people are hearing the news and checking out the website …
