So my commitment to running has returned, I got in just under 12 miles yesterday on the road, and then 6 miles worth of trail running today. I can say that my legs are really toasted. I didn’t realize that I hadn’t done more than 10 miles on over 2 months … WOW, time flies! The fact the weather has warmed up a bit here (for January) has helped my motivation for spring training, but I do need to realize that it is still winter time.

I am getting back hard and heavy to the dieting and attempting to keep my slimmer frame. I weighed myself this morning and am at 188 right now. I figure another 18 weeks of training for the OD marathon, then the NJ marathon, then possible the gods country marathon then lastly the ultra 50K on July 4th weekend should keep me slim.

I hope to get outside more this week since its going to be nice in the morning, but expect me back in the gym at the end of the week after my surgery…
