So generally I consider January to be a month on the treadmill, but so far this month it has been pretty good. I got outside all weekend, plus yesterday and today with the morning temperatures being up in the 40’s (or so they say). I found out that yesterday it was colder than they said, and even today they said it was 46 degrees out, but it really wasn’t. I went by the bank in shavertown on my 6 miler this morning and it was only 37, so I was seriously under-dressed.
The good part is that my legs feel better than they did yesterday and Sunday, I know I felt the burn in them when I did the trail run on Sunday, and even yesterday they were still pretty smoked, so its good to know its subsiding. Tomorrow will be my last ‘fast’ run for the week and i’ll take Thursday off with my surgery scheduled…
I do have to remember that there are at least 7-8 more rough weeks of running ahead until March 1st… even then it doesn’t get warm very fast, but at least by then I am used to it… Well, the second week of ‘training’ seems to be going fairly well, so we’ll hope for the best. I think i’m eating a little better too to hopefully keep the weight off until I get into the serious training in February/March…
