As I wrote yesterday, I am getting increasingly tired everyday I continue to get up early. Thank heavens tomorrow I can sleep in, same with Saturday, and I intend to. I even goto bed early, just can’t get enough sleep I guess. I woke up this morning, and almost rolled over and went back to sleep, thats how tired I am. I did make it through my 5-miler today though, and decided to take a more difficult course (duh), which didn’t help me at all. But I can say, like I have in the last 2 weeks, that I earned my time off this week once again. thats 20 miles in 3 days, much more than I was ever doing in prepping for Ocean Drive.
My body is quite sore though, my lower right back is a bit sore, not painful, just achy I guess. Just going to keep some motrin in me, some ice/heat on it to make sure it doesn’t flare up. I just need to survive Saturdays’ run and i’ll be good to go. At that point, I have to take it a little easier next week to repair my body and prep for the Lehigh Vally Half Marathon … and then ultimately the run for the red!
I checked my weight this morning, i seem to be down around 3-5 pounds in the past month, which will help my running. I think I’m about at the optimal point for racing. I have a long couple of weeks of racing to go here, so its the perfect time to be the way I am.
Regardless, looking forward to a day of rest tomorrow ………. then the last long training run ……. 🙂
