
In reviewing my training schedule, I realized that the Baltimore Running Festival is really only 10 weeks away now .. I kind of lost track of it with focusing on the Lehigh Valley Health Network marathon, which is only 6 weeks away. That means then, that the Philly Marathon is just 16 weeks away, wow, how the summer passes so quick.
I do think that training has been going quite well, I’m about where I think I should be .. my long run is getting easier, my speed work always sucks .. my times aren’t too bad, and i’m feeling positive about the fall. I guess thats all I can ask for, except for I wish I could lose a couple more pounds, the weight just doesn’t seem to be coming off this year.
So tomorrow’s new run is going to be early early early .. yep, on a Saturday. I have to be on a conference call and spend at least part of the day working, so I have to get it in somewhere. I realize that Sunday is another day, but I never have a good Sunday long run for some reason, not sure why… but I decided I would rather avoid any disappointment if I possibly can, I just can’t take it. I plan to get up at 4am, and be on the road by 4:30am if I can get up and going .. i’ll update tomorrow on how I did.
Lastly, I had memories the last two days when the bloodmobile was in town .. remember not so long ago i donated double red blood cells during the start of training, and it killed me. Thankfully I didn’t give blood this time (because i’m not eligible anyway), but next time I will although NOT DOUBLE RED BLOOD CELLS!
Off to rest though … its running time in just a few short hours …
