I’ve been without running now for day 3 since I had sinus surgery on Thursday, its been a rough few days and I may not recover as fast as I thought. It’ll depend what the doctor says on Sunday, because i’m really not supposed to do anything really strenuous for a few more days, so we’ll have to play it safe. This will possibly affect my ability to run in the Chilly Cheeks next weekend, since if I don’t really run all week, i’m liable to be really sore and could hurt myself next weekend. Oh well, I realize that I need to recover from this or else I can make it really worse.
The worst part is the packing in the nose, its been 2 full days now with it in there and its starting to get gross (really gross). Sunday at 5pm it comes out, and I can’t wait. I’m on this heavy antibiotic along with stomach pills so it doesn’t destroy my stomach, and they’ve given me tylenol with codeine, which is good stuff, but leaves me groggy. I’m really in rough shape.
Well, I guess I should enjoy the time off while I can, not sure how this will affect my season, but again like I said the other day, at least its not in the middle of a formal training cycle…
