Well, just because i’m not writing in the blog here, doesn’t mean I’m not making the effort … it kind of feels like last year, except that I haven’t fallen into a slump. I woke up yesterday with a pretty good sore throat, basically my body telling me its had enough and i need to slow down. But that didn’t stop me from finishing my first 40+ mile week in quite awhile. I didn’t realize that the NJ Marathon, which I am formally registered for now, is only 14 weeks away, UGH! I’m scheduled for my first 20 miler in just 3 weeks!
I did manage to get almost 13 miles in on Saturday, despite being tired, and sick and it being cold outside, and then another 7 miles in today, which didn’t feel too bad. Issue is, it’ll be a struggle this week to keep the miles up since I have to drive to Canada on Wednesday, and not return until Thursday … so I guess we’ll see.
I’m thankful that this February is not forecasted to be too COLD, unlike last year. Even today its heading for the 40’s, so its not too bad out compared to last year. I’m just hoping the snow stays away, that tends to throw my workouts for a ride …
Well, not too much more exciting except that i’m building up the miles now, won’t be long until spring now, and the first marathon of the season … (btw, i’ve formally written off running the OD marathon, just not enough time to prepare!)
