I had a pretty decent week up until the weekend, it was a real struggle to get through all the runs. Saturday it rained, and rained, and was cold and nasty .. but I got my 18.3 miles in. I then ended up being sick Saturday night and Sunday morning with my stomach, i’m not sure what it is (or was), but I had ‘it’ coming out of both ends, it wasn’t very nice at all. I then ended up being dehydrated and under-nourished because I didn’t eat anything in the morning at all .. that caused me to have a crappy run, a real crappy run. I felt awful going out, and got the 8 miles in, but died at mile 6 and walked a few times because i just had NO ENERGY AT ALL! I then took the back route along the creek and stepped in a frozen puddle with BOTH feet, so on top of feeling like crap, being out of energy, I was now COLD (because the temperature was already in the teens) ..
So where do we go from here? Well, the 18 miler beat the heck out of my legs, they’re burning today. That didn’t help the run either, and I rested today with the hope of catching up on my sleep and all, and getting over this illness… we’ll just have to see. We may or may not run tomorrow, if I feel like crap, we’ll skip it. its not worth the 4 miles if i’m not feeling good, i can make it up down the road …
Training is going decently, although I stepped on the scale and noticed I was up to 192 again … ack .. so I went into detox and stopped eating crap and hope to weigh in better tomorrow morning…
