I’m happy to say that I got 4.5 miles straight in today (no stopping), without any pain in my quad. I was running about a 9:25/mile pace, but that’s to be expected since I intended to take it easy. I cut it off at that point so I didn’t overdo it so early back into the recovery, there are other days that I can work the mileage back up so I don’t hurt myself. Tomorrow will be an interesting run since I have to get up early for something, it’ll probably be in the dark (like the old days) ..

The intention is to get a longer run back in this weekend, however it probably won’t be a 20 miler, but we’ll see how we feel. Its going to be a topsy-turvy week as it stands right now, so we’ll see how it works out.

I don’t know exactly what was wrong with my quad, but its weird how just a few days later it is feeling better. Most sites that I read indicate that this type of injury takes weeks to recover, maybe it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was, or maybe I just recovered fast. I’m probably not out of woods yet with it, but its amazing the recovery i’ve made from it. Just bummed I missed a long run this weekend .. oh well, the body needs the rest I guess.
