So to add to my post yesterday, my recovery for my injured quadriceps is going well … I managed to get 6 miles in this morning, non-stop, without any issue. I actually pushed the pace a bit as well, running it in just under 52 minutes (like I used to do) .. Tomorrow will be the true test though as I expect to get back to at least 10 miles, if not 12 depending on how early I get up.

I figure at this point, if I can get up to at least 10 miles tomorrow, then an early 8 mile run on Thursday since I have to travel again that day, i’ll be good for a long run on the weekend of at least 18 miles, if not 20. I don’t want to overdo it, but I have to get the miles back up for at least 2 weeks prior to Steamtown which is coming up quickly…

I’ve noticed a change in the weather here in the Northeast, its gotten quite chilly, quite fast .. even this morning it was long-sleeve weather and the sun never made it out today. According to forecast fox in my browser, its only 62 degrees. Ugh. I guess its time to accept the fact that winter is coming again, and i’ll be bundling up again for those morning runs before I know it … It seems like the summer went too fast, well, actually it did go fast .. just didn’t seem to enjoy it so much.

Anyway, there isn’t much more happening, except that i’m happy my injury seems to be getting better. It really concerned me and i’ll have to take it a little easier next time after the next marathon so it doesn’t happen again …
