digg_bodytext = ‘I made a smart move and did not head for a run yesterday due to the pain in my lower back, I guess it was a little more serious than I thought (or I made it worse by not resting it when I should have). It seems to have healed up pretty good and I got out for just under 2 ‘easy’ miles this morning, just to test the waters. I’;
I made a smart move and did not head for a run yesterday due to the pain in my lower back, I guess it was a little more serious than I thought (or I made it worse by not resting it when I should have). It seems to have healed up pretty good and I got out for just under 2 ‘easy’ miles this morning, just to test the waters. Its still a little sore, more in the hip area than anywhere else, but not in the small of my back anymore, and i’m not crooked anymore.
The weird part is that my right leg seems either overworked or underpowered in comparison with my left leg. I’m not sure if thats the cause of the backpain, or the result of the backpain, as I guess i’ll never know. All I know is that i’m out of balance, so I need to take it easy to get things squared back up again.
It sucks when you finally get into the groove and routine of running again, and then you just have to stop, just like that. I know how it goes because its not the first (nor the last) injury i’ll have, but at least it wasn’t too serious this time so far.
Hopefully tomorrow we’ll be able to get more than 2 miles, maybe 4, but we still can’t push it, I hate to wipe out the weekend by being a fool and doing too much too soon …
